The Sega Nomad was a handheld game console that was exclusively sold in North America. Unlike the Game Gear, which was a handheld with similar capabilities to the Master System but no support for its library, the Nomad is simply a handheld version of the Genesis/Mega Drive; it only has support for its library and has no exclusive titles of its own.

Hardware[edit]

The hardware is about the same as the Genesis model 3, including the lack of Master System backwards compatibility and consolidated ASICs compared to the model 1.
