==Region locking==
Although most SNES cartridges can't be just put in a system of another region, you can overcome this by using a region adapter. There are still a certain amount of games that make use of "software region-locking" this means that the game will look at what region the system is. If you boot a game from a different region and it displays a "Not designed for your Super NES/Super Famicom" or a similar message than that game is software region-locked. SNES-TOOL can patch a region locked game so when using a flashcart or a similar device you can play the game on your system
