The NEO GEO is a blanket term for SNK's consoles. When people say neo geo, they are either talking about the arcade console, or the EXPENSIVE home console.

so back in the day SNK made a ton of great arcade games like ikari warriors and they thought "hey our buyers dont wanna convert their cabinets" so they made a dedicated hardware for their arcade machines. The MULTI VIDEO SYSTEM. Basically it was more powerful than other consoles at the time (NES/SNES/MegaDrive) so it was a hit. It came in a single game model, dual game model, 4 game model, and 6 game model
